The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an organization of parents, teachers, and staff dedicated to making every child's potential a reality. We work to support Deerpark MS students and staff through fundraising, volunteering, and community building.
No! Membership is optional. However, we encourage all families to join for just $10 per year. Members enjoy access to PTA communications, events, and the opportunity to be part of our community. Many families support our school without being official members.
Annual PTA membership is $10 per person and includes access to the national PTA, state PTA, and local chapter benefits. Membership is open to parents, teachers, staff, and community members.
No required meeting attendance! While we'd love to see you at our monthly meetings, many members support us through other ways—volunteering, donations, spirit wear sales, and attending events.
Volunteering is easy and rewarding! To volunteer on campus, you must first complete the annual Round Rock ISD volunteer background check. Once cleared, you can sign up for specific events through SignUpGenius. Learn more about volunteering.
Yes. All volunteers who work on campus must complete an annual Round Rock ISD background check. This is a district requirement for safety. The process is free and easy—you can start it on the Round Rock ISD volunteer page.
PTA funds support:
100% of donations support Deerpark MS programs and initiatives. Donations are tax-deductible. Visit our Join & Support page to learn about giving opportunities, including direct donations and community partner programs like Kroger and Box Tops.
We offer official Ranger spirit wear each year, including hoodies, t-shirts, and caps. Orders are typically fulfilled and delivered to students' advisory classes. Check out this year's spirit wear options.
General PTA meetings are typically held monthly. Check our calendar for specific dates and times. Meetings are usually held in the evening to accommodate working families. All are welcome!

The Deerpark MS PTA is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. While we work closely with the school to support students and staff, we do not represent the school or district in any official capacity. Our mission is to enhance and support the educational experience at Deerpark MS.
